Dhanush is a well known Indian film actor and singer.
Dhanush is a well known South-Indian film actor, producer and singer. He has contributed most of his work in the Tamil cinemas. His real name is Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja, son of producer Kasthuri Raja. He was born on 28 July 1983. The actor got married on 18 November 2004, to Aishwarya, who is Rajinikanth's daughter and have two sons Yatra Raja (born on 2006) and Linga Raja (born on 2008).
Dahnush is the actor’s stage name. He went to St. John's Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Alwarthirunagar for his secondary education. He made his career in acting. Today, along with a great actor he is also a lyricist, a singer and a producer. Along with Tollywood, he has also become a part of Bollywood. In his acting career he has achieved many awards; the recent are:

- In the year 2011, the National Film Award for the ‘Best Actor’ category for ‘Aadukalam’, directed by Vetrimaran.
Dhanush became famous for his song, 'Why this Kolaveri?', which was sung by him. He also made a bright entry in the hindi film Ranjhana in 2013. The actor was nominated to become the brand ambassador of PETA with the title of India's Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2011. He has also contributed in the WWF India, to support Earth Hour 2012.
