There is no easy way to become fair. However, some techniques can be utilized to improve the complexion of the skin.
Fairness of skin is an ideal that takes center place among many cultures. Sociologists claim that this is because most cultures were at some or another under the rule of whites, or rather Caucasians, which is why these cultures emulated their culture and especially their beauty ideals. Whatever the cause, the reality of today is that people with whiter or fairer skin are considered to be more beautiful than those that do not.
Many people tend to use beauty creams, packs, and bleaches in other to achieve this standard of beauty. However, these products tend to contain chemicals which can be harmful to the skin, and can cause rashes, burns, lesions, and so much worse, and they won’t lighten the skin either.
In fact, the truth of the matter is that one cannot change the color of the skin, no matter how hard they try. The most they can do is make the complexion of the skin even and clearer, and remove the dark patches on the skin. This will make your skin appear lighter.
The simplest way to improve the complexion of the skin is to protect your skin from the sun. Sun damage is the leading cause for pigmentation in the skin. Protect your skin by staying out of the sun as much as possible, as well as applying SPF when you can’t.
Another healthy thing to do is drink as much water as you can. It will flush out the toxins and keep your skin clear. Also wash your face regularly, which will remove the layer of dust and grime on the face. Use a regular face wash, one that suits your skin tone to get rid of oil on the face.
Sleep is also very important to skin tone, believe it or not. If you do not get enough sleep, you are more likely to see dark patches on the face. You are also likely to observe dark circles under the eyes and baggy eyes.
There are also many other ‘homemade’ or ‘natural’ remedies that one can apply. However, ensure that they are suitable to your face. If you have sensitive skin, you may have an allergic reaction to them, even if they are natural.
You can try applying a mixture of honey and sugar, and gently scrubbing. The sugar works as an exfoliant, while the honey nourished the skin. Milk is another good nourisher. A mixture of oatmeal and yogurt also comes highly recommended. The oatmeal exfoliates, while the yogurt nourishes.
Lemon juice is another thing that is highly recommended. It works as a natural bleach and lightens your skin tone. Other things that are recommended are fruits such as apple, banana, papaya, avocado, etc. Turmeric is often touted as an anti-aging and whitening natural product. It also has natural antimicrobial properties. There are also many other natural remedies that are recommended by people. No matter how many people you ask, you are bound to hear a new remedie that has just popped up on the market.
