Example of Plants
Plants are living organisms of the kingdom Plantae.
Plants are a type of living multicellular organisms. They are categorized under the kingdom Plantae. Plants include flowering plants, conifers and other gymnosperms, ferns, clubmosses, hornworts, liverworts and mosses, and in some cases, green algae. There are believed to be somewhere between 300–315 thousand species of plants.
In most cases, plants have cell walls with cellulose. They get their nutrients from the soil by pulling up the nutrients through the roots and stems. Plants also obtain their energy directly from sunlight, by converting the sunlight into energy through the process of photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis uses carbon dioxide and in turn releases oxygen; hence, plants are responsible for most of the molecular oxygen in the world. Additionally, plants provide us with grains, fruits and vegetables, as well as flowers. Hence, they are very important for humans.
