Mark Zuckerberg is the founder of Facebook.

Today, Facebook is the most popular social networking site. It was founded in the year 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg.

There were basically five friends who started this networking site. The co- founders are Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum and Chris Hughes. Mark Zuckerberg is the CEO of the company. He was born on May 14, 1984 in White Plains, New York. He is the son of a psychiatrist Karen, and a dentist Edward Zuckerberg. He has three sisters; and when he turned 13, he called himself as an atheist. He studied psychology and computer science as well as belonging to Alpha Epsilon Pi, a Jewish fraternity.

Zuckerberg launched Facebook from his Harvard dormitory room on February 4, 2004. The group then introduced Facebook onto other campuses nationwide, and they moved to Palo Alto, California, United States. In 2007, when his age was 23, he became a billionaire with the total of one billion users in 2012. According to the Time magazine, Zuckerberg has been named as the 100 wealthiest and most powerful people in the world as a part of its Person of the Year merit.
