Who is the Founder of Google?
Larry Page and Sergey Brin are the founders of Google.

We all are familiar with our favorite search engine optimizing website, the Google. Larry Page and Sergey Brin are the founders of Google. They were Ph.D. students at Stanford University, when they founded Google in 1995. Google.com was registered as a domain on September 15, 1997. Google Inc. is an American multinational corporation, which specializes in Internet-related services and products. These include search, cloud computing, software, and online advertising technologies. The site is more profitably derived from AdWords.

Lawrence "Larry" Page (born on March 26, 1973) and Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin (born on August 21, 1973) are American computer scientists and Internet entrepreneurs, who own the multinational corporation Google Inc. Together they own about 16 percent of its shares. They incorporated Google as a privately held company on September 4, 1998.

Page was born in East Lansing, Michigan, United States (U.S.) to Carl Page, (considered as a "pioneer in computer science and artificial intelligence") and Gloria. Page got married to Lucinda Southworth in 2007, and has two children. He went to Okemos Montessori School (now called Montessori Radmoor) in Okemos, Michigan during the years 1975 to 1979, and graduated from East Lansing High School in 1991. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan. He is also a Master of Science degree holder in computer science from Stanford University. Now, Page is an investor in Tesla Motors.

Brin was born in Moscow, to Russian Jewish parents, Michael Brin (a mathematics professor) and Eugenia Brin (a NASA researcher). Brin got married to Anne Wojcicki in 2007. Brin went to grade school at Paint Branch Montessori School in Adelphi, Maryland and further received education at home. As Brin was Jewish by religion, he had faced some problems during his educative life. In September 1990, Brin enrolled to University of Maryland and studied computer science and mathematics. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in May 1993 and began his graduate study in computer science at Stanford University on a graduate fellowship from the National Science Foundation.

  • Brin and Page are working on problems like the world's energy and climate problems at Google's philanthropic arm Google.org.
  • Both, Brin and Page received an honorary MBA from IE Business School in 2003.
  • Both were the elected Fellows of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2005.
